MIX68 Thinking Of You

This is my card for the Mix-ablity Challenge on Splitcoast (MIX68)

This week we were challenged to make a project using a reverse masking technique. I used a die from Sizzix (655351 Elephant #2), Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos (Peach, Raspberry, Black Licorice, Pistachio), Gesso and stamps from Impression Obsession (CL445 Banners &  Greetings, CC123 Cover-a-Card Rolling Waves

Layer some post-it notes onto scrap cardstock. Die cut elephant.Image may be NSFW.

Place stencil over white cardstock. Color with Gelatos (Peach & Raspberry)Image may be NSFW.

Add some gesso randomly though a stencil.Image may be NSFW.

Use your post-it for a mask over the elephant. Spray inks through a stencil and then add a little Raspberry Gelato to tie the elephant color into the background. Outline the elephant with a black PITT Artist Pen.Image may be NSFW.

Die cut another elephant. Repeat the same process used for the stenciled elephant. Cut out ear with scissors.Image may be NSFW.

Finish the card by trimming the elephant panel and adding a white mat. Spray white folded card and then stamp over the top with CC123 Cover-a-Card Rolling Waves. Add sentiment and a bow.
